Scope and objective

Every year the International Banking Institute organizes conference devoted to the problems of quality management in modern higher school. The main objective is to provide a platform for contacts between professors, educators, managers and other professionals and to make more possibilities to share innovative ideas developed all over the world for improvement of quality management in modern higher school. International conference is important step to bring international dimension to modern system of higher education.

The main topics of the conference

1. Quality policy and strategy:
   1. Bolognia process and its influence in modern higher school;
   2. state and national quality standards as quality management instrument in higher school;
   3. continuity of education: secondary school - higher school - post higher school education.
2. Quality management system in education:
   1. quality management systems (models and methods) in higher school;
   2. quality management system development (steps and stages);
   3. quality management simulation;
   4. quality management documentation development;
   5. personell training.
3. Quality management system perfection:
   1. methodology and technical solutions;
   2. internal and external auditing;
   3. information and analytical systems, corporate information systems;
   4. methods of quality monitoring.
4. Quality control system certification:
   1. choice of certifying organization;
   2. certifying auditing.

Official languages

Russian and English will be official languages of the conference.

Applications and paper submission

Theses must be sent to co-nir@ibispb.ru before May 12, 2008.

The theses in Russian and English should be in simple text format up to 3 pages A4, file with expansion *doc (font Times New Roman, 14 items, 1,2 intervals).

The file must be named according to the surname of the first lecturer with a direction number (for example 3_Ivanov). The same information must be placed in the Heading (Theme) of the letter. We would like you to specify lecturer's surname, name and patronymic (completely), scientific degree, academic status, a place of work.

Theses and papers will be published in Russian and English languages in conference materials.

Important dates

Deadline for Submission of the Preliminary Registration form - 30 March 2008.

Notification of Acceptance and Confirmation of participation - 30 April 2008.

Deadline for Money transfer - 15 May 2008.

Registration fee

You are to pay

• Registration fee - 120 Euro;
• Students - 80 Euro;
• Publishing Paper in conference proceedings - 50 Euro.

Registration fee includes participation in all conference events, conference proceedings, welcome party and coffee breaks. Please use one of the following methods of payments:

• money transfer to the IBI's bank account upon invoice;
• directly to the IBI's cash department upon arrival;
• through e-payment system to the IBI's electronic purse.

THE WONDER of the White Nights

Saint Petersburg is one of the most beautiful and attractive cities in the world. The great pride of our city is "White Nights". That means that in summer the nights are nearly as light as the days. They begin at the end of May and last until the beginning of July.
