November 12, 2009 is the International Day of Quality, an annual event observed in many countries of the world on the second Thursday of November. The idea to observe the above event was instituted by the European Organization on for Quality (EOK) and supported by the UNO. The objective of the International Day for Quality is improving the quality of goods and services and hoisting those activities which help upgrade quality.
The policy of improving quality is of primary concern for the IBI for it ranks it first among many ingredients of its educational activities from the very moment of its foundation and that is why the above event has a special meaning for the Institute.
The Institute’s personnel , its management and teachers are quite aware of the advantages arising from being the best in the higher education community and in their day-to-day work they make for high quality training of the IBI specialists. Numerous awards received by the Institute at various competitions for quality testify for the above.
Here are just some examples. The Institute is the winner of the award of the contest “Russian Leader in Quality”, of the competition sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Education for the Russian Federation “Systems Providing for the Specialist Quality Training” and it is recognized the best banking training institution in Europe by the EBTN.

The Institute demonstrated significant achievements in the development of computed-aided system for quality management monitoring whereby it became possible to introduce electronic educational and methodological complexes for the subjects taught at the Institute and made them the indispensable part of the Unified Electronic Educational Environment.
The Institute’s achievements in quality of education are confirmed since 2007 by special certificate of compliance of IBI quality management system to the requirements of the GOST ISO 9001-2001 and ISO 9001-2000 issued by the Certification Authority for quality systems “Test – St. Petersburg, Ltd.”
