XVII interuniversities student scientific conference
“Current problems of economic theory and economic policy”
Traditional (the seventieth) interuniversities student scientific conference “Current problems of economic theory and economic policy” took place on May 13, 2010.
About 150 people took part in the Conference including student of the International Banking Institute and of other Saint-Petersburg universities (St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Housing Construction, the Russian State Pedagogical University after Hertzen, etc), with students of the IBI Economic Lyceum and of the IBI Maly (Preparatory) Faculty being also among the participants.
The plenary meeting began with salutatory addresses to the participants by the IBI vice-president for the scientific work, professor V.V Izrantsev, PhD (sciences) and by the chief of the department for economic theory, professor I.P. Pavlova, PhD (economics).
The work of the Conference was arranged in seven sections where present-day social, economic and financial problems were discussed and some results of the research into entrepreneurial practice of Russia were reported.
Two round tables were arranged at the Conference devoted to anti-crisis policies of different countries and to the problems of off-shore zones development.
The participants showed their keep interest to all problems raised at the Conference.
Lecturers and trainers of the economics theory department and the Honoured Teacher of the Russian Federation, B.I. Rypin, PhD (pedagogy) were among the Conference facilitators.
The IBI students M. Bulenkov, T. Dvalashvili, A. Gogol, V. Kolarzh, K. Kulakova, A. Mints, D. Mostovoy, E. Nocolau and A. Yurinovskaya took a very active a in the sections meetings.
